Raksha Bandhan

tomorrow (24th August 2010) is Raksha Bandhan day.
for those who have no idea what that means, Raksha Bandhan or more often called as Rakhi in the Punjabi community, is a celebration of the chaste bond of love between a brother and a sister. On this day,the sister will tie a holy thread  around the wrist of her brother. It's like a bond of protection that pulsates with sisterly love and sentiments.

This is usually celebrated by Hindus but a lot of Punjabi ppl celebrate it too nowadays. Nothing to do with religion but more about showing love and strengthening the bond between the bro and sis. Now even the rakhi has become a victim to the fashion revolution, haha, u can find all the gempak2 rakhis out there.

As for me, i have never celebrated Raksha Bandhan as i don't have any brothers but i always take the effort to wish some important people in my life, like my Hanil,Paldip,Jiju and all. Not my real brothers but i love them a lot ;)
Kinda miss having a big bro sometimes.. I bet he would be so protective over his lil sister and belasah any guy who tries to be funny with her (i likeee!!) :P

To all my brothers esp those mentioned above and also to my beloved cousin brothers, Happy Raksha Bandhan :)

p/s- Tips to the gals out there, if you wana shoo away any guy whoz after you, just wish him Happy Raksha Bandhan, im sure he will get the message :P
